Oh I’m use i5 too ! I haven’t seen your error before ! Maybe I’m a lucky man 😀 because MAC OS X can be compatible with my hardware. If find some information about your error, I will reply to you.

Now, for easily, you can download this torrent : OS X Lion (Final) Pre-Installed VMware Image (link : http://imzdl.com/download/285/torrent/osxlionpreinstalledvmwareimage.torrent ) (more 490 seeds). It’s a final VMWare Image of MAC OS Lion Retail. You just only download and run, don’t need to install from beginning !

I tried looking for VMware workstation 7.1x series because I have trouble using VMware Workstation 8, but I couldn’t find any on the Internet.
Have you came across any sites which still have 7.1x for download?

Yeah, almost apps of Apple (iWork, iLife, FinalCut) will not run on VMWare OS X because of graphic driver missing.
